0 How to resolve network binding error

While install the SQLServer on the Cluster, there is a warming for Network binding order .

After some digging , many post suggest to change the network binding order in the

Network and Internet –> network connections –> Hit ALT key to display the advance settings..

and move the domain network interface to the top of the list.

After I done above, the warming still exist . and I found this useful post.

We can use the nvspbind command to determine what is our network binding order in the network interface. The command needs to be download from here. Because the cluster is build already, the Microsoft virtual adaptor is on the top of the binding order. Since it is virtual adaptor, we can not change in the network advance setting.

Below wmic command can show the NIC and its key

wmic nicconfig get description, SettingID

image

nvsphbind /o ms_tcpip
nvsbind /- "Local Area Connection* 9" ms_tcpip

The command change the HKLM key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Linkage

After the change is done, re run the test, the warming does not appear again.
